I will never understand how it came to be that some people found other people inferior and undeserving.  

I will never understand how – as human beings evolved – that it seemed like a good idea to deny other human beings their rights to equality.  

I can understand survival of the fittest in primitive times – I don’t like the idea but I get it.

I can study academic subjects that explain the power of money and social standing and wealth and enslavement, etc.

I can understand the theories of how societies are formed.

But the whole idea of denial of human rights just escapes me – it will never make sense.

I wonder how different things would be if that idea of denial of human rights never popped into general thinking as a way of life that was accepted – hmmm.
