This is the great new problem of mankind. We have inherited a big house, a great “world house” in which we have to live together – black and white, Easterners and Westerners, Gentiles and Jews, Catholics and Protestants, Moslem and Hindu, a family unduly separated in ideas, culture, and interests who, because we can never again live without each other, must learn, somehow, in this one big world, to live with each other.– Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Nobel Peace Prize Lecture, 1964
Lolo Lesser was so inspired by the words of Martin Luther King’s World House that she translated it into movements for the Empatharian Movement for Peace with original music written by Noam Gaston in Olympia, Washington, performed by Brendan Gallagher, London, England.
Take the World House Empatharian Challenge and make your own World House video, using the movements as demonstrated by Lolo, or with your own creative interpretation through music, dance, or artwork.
Submit by March 15 to be considered for a video to be released during We, the World’s Global NatureFest for Earth Month, March 20 – April 22.
