October 2021

The Baha’i-inspired Interfaith Climate Group, established in 2013, supports the community-wide climate conversation-to-action program of the Climate Collaboratory, a pilot project of We, the World and the University of Florida Extension

The Interfaith Climate Group is Building Community in a Changing Climate.  Our recent live stream panel discussion on the Welcome to WE! Show brought together people in Alachua County who will help to facilitate a community engagement program in the months ahead.  Their organizations include UNA-USA, MLK Commission, Star Center Theatre.

We support a community-wide climate conversation-to-action program that offers opportunities for people of faith and goodwill to elevate the discourses of society with spiritual principles.  Topics for social action include social and environmental justice with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

In addition to the UN’s Global Goals, we use the Earth Charter values and principles as a guide.  “We are one human family and one Earth community with a common destiny.”  We use teachings from the world’s wisdom traditions to bring a message of healing and hope.
