“Tell us a Flash!Back, Great-Gramma Sage,” said Ginnie.

Sage, who was 103, loved to tell stories about the early days of the Great Turning. She smiled at her great-grandchildren, and asked, “How far back do you want to go?”

Annabeth, who had just turned nine, said, “Tell us about the Global Warming Express birthday party!”

Sage leaned back in her big comfy chair, and got that look in her eye. “Ah yes, I remember it well!” (There’s a song for that!) “It was 2016 and your mothers, the Twin Cousins, had just turned five. Come with me on the Web of Love, back to the Sustainable Living Center, and I’ll tell you all about it.” The children made themselves comfortable. So I gathered up everything in my EarthFlash! Room and took it to the Peace Education Center at the other end of the Sustainable Living Center. I set it all out on tables — books and coloring pages and the Earth Charter Game and the Green Snap Circuits and other games and an Earth ball and an Earth flag and everything I could think of that six grandchildren might enjoy.
